We are delighted to have an enthusiastic bunch of young folk who come along to the various activities on offer for the young people of Banchory. So what’s on offer?
Rock – S1 and S2
On Tuesday evenings from 7.30 ‘til 9.00 pm in the East Church Hall a high activity meeting takes place. It’s a place to build friendships, play games, discuss, laugh, create, act, eat, relax and chat. If you want to look forward to the beginning of the week, then come along and join the fun.
Edge – S3 to S6
Meets on Thursdays, 7.30 ‘til 9.30 pm at the West Church Hall. It’s the place to come to play games, eat food, do dramas, play and listen to music, laugh, have lots of discussions and make friends.
Cutting Edge – S3 to S6
Sunday evenings (7.30 - 9.30) We'll even give you a lift!
Where: Brodie's House, Auchattie
A chance to find out who Jesus really is and how Christianity and real life fit together. You get to ask the tough questions and chat through the issues you’ve always thought about, in a place where your views are respected.
Weekends away have become a regular feature of the programme. Usually to an outdoor centre where we can challenge both physically and mentally.
Our youth minister is Rev Tony Stephen who has been co-ordinating the churches’ youth work in Banchory since 1995.
The Banchory Joint Youth Ministry is an initiative set up and supported by Banchory-Ternan East Church and Banchory-Ternan West Parish Church.
